Product Description
Flower Description: We had hoped this lily had been named in honor of Francesco Landini who was one of the most famous and revered composers of the late 14th century and certainly the most famous Italian composer. As such, we could have tied the unique beauty of his music to the unique color and beauty of ‘Landini’ the flower. But alas, it appears it was named for the Italian ‘Landidi’ tractor. Aah, a farmer and his tractor!
The darkest Asiatic we have had in trials, 'Landini' does need some sun protection in the hotter areas. In our Sacramento trials, the petal tips did scorch on those plants in full sun, but were fine in light shade. Best when planted with a white June bloomer, 'Landini' will make the white "whiter" and the whites will give 'Landini' an even greater impact. 3 to 4 Feet, June flowering. Classified as a "black-red", 'Landini' is more of a "black-purple". Non Fragrant.
