Spicy fragrance, 3 to 4 Feet. Mid / Late July flowering.

It really took some doing to get these bulbs as they are in such high demand in the United Kingdom being the white lily of choice for the florists. These bulbs are coming directly from the breeder and we were only able to obtain a single case for this spring. Though the lily of choice for florists, 'Paposo' has also proven itself in gardens throughout Europe.

An interesting specimen from the renowned breeding house of Vletter den Haan in that this is a cross between L. longifolium (Easter Lily) with an Oriental hybrid which was crossed again to another Oriental. This gives 'Paposo' more of an overall Oriental look but adds the stamina and vigor of the Easter Lily as a bonus for the more trying areas of the US where Orientals can struggle through harsh winters. As we do not personally have a track record to judge from, we recommend that in harsh winter areas, 'Paposo' should probably still be mulched well if there is not a good, reliable snow cover as with all Orientals.

These out to mostly upfacing flowers are sparkling white in color and reported to be of very good substance giving it superior durability in full sun due to the Easter Lily background. Averaging 3 to 4 feet in the garden, she is a mid July bloomer and fragrance is reported to be “sweet”. Photo copyright Vletter den Haan, used with permission.
