Product Description
Classification: Oriental-Trumpet Hybrid Lily (USDA Zones 5-9, colder climates w/winter mulch.)
We have been watching 'Red Hot' for quite some time now. Similar to 'Mystique' for color, and blooming about the same time, we felt there was not enough difference to offer it and up until now, it has only been offered at the spring flower and garden shows we attend. But, over the years it has always been one of the top favorites in our customers gardens. The flowers of 'Red Hot' are more pendant than those of 'Mystique' and lighter in tone. Soft pink, rose pink and yellow all blend together for a very pleasing overall appearance. Very heavy petal texture for long lasting beauty. 3 to 4 Feet. Late July.
ECONOMY 12-PACKS Size is smaller on these bulbs than we normally sell due to our cold and rainy spring and summer. Bulbs for next year’s catalog and web sales are in the ground, so these are not required for propagation. Expect one to three flowers at most during next summer, with many more to come in the years that follow. Plant with 4 inches of soil covering bulbs, even though they are smaller in size, they still need to be well-anchored against wind. Mulch for the winter (after soil freezes) in the Midwest and other severe-winter climates.
