Lily Bulb Description

Heading the introduction of the next generation of red Oriental/Trumpet Lilies, Classification: Oriental-Trumpet Hybrid Lily (USDA Zones 5-9, colder climates w/winter mulch.)

'Invasion' is without equal. The red coloration is clean and rich, holding up very well in the hot summer sun. Sporting a richer and deeper green foliage than is found on most of the OT varieties, the foliage color is the perfect foil to the white/ivory base petal color really making these flowers pop out in your garden. Destined to become one of your all time favorites, ÔInvasionƠ has already captured our hearts. Sweet, pleasing fragrance, 3 to 4 Feet. July Bloom.

Economy-size, package of three (3) bulbs.

These are generally smaller sized bulbs than we normally use to fill orders. All are flowering size, that after winter harvest and sorting, are usually planted back in late March to supplement the following year's fall crop.

Bulb size varies; we grade lilies for Minimum Size, not "Top Size" like other companies, so some may be quite a bit larger than others, even in these Economy 3-packs. You will find that our bulbs overall run larger than the standard dutch grading system to insure that they are indeed "flowering size".
"Dear Dianna, . . .even though yours [your bulbs] were supposedly smaller 'on-sale' ones, they were perfect and robust and bigger than any bulbs I've gotten through several mail order companies." [Email Dec. 8th 2008 following purchase of our "scratch and dent" bulbs last fall.]
