For whom the resource-rich Hood Canal of Washington State was named (Captain George Vancouver in 1792), this is the most colorfast trumpet with pink edging from the group, as well as having a very striking outfacing form. In hot areas of the country, some afternoon shade will be appreciated to prolong the deep pink edges on these large, fragrant flowers, with bright yellow anthers and dark colored stems. July.
