Lily Bulb Description

'Pink Jazz' - Orienpet Lily Bulb
Classification: Oriental-Trumpet Hybrid Lily (USDA Zones 5-9, the colder climates of this range must provide winter mulching.)

Updated 10/2/2009. We just completed harvest of 'Pink Jazz' and find we have 10 more bulbs that projected. If you missed out earlier when it was marked "Sold Out", now is the time to order before they are gone for the year. We do not expect to list 'Pink Jazz' again until the fall of 2011.

These stately 6-foot stems, adorned with glowing pink trumpet-shaped flowers are truly in a class by themselves; perfect form, thick stems, hardiness and lovely fragrance. Tucked into a stand of old growth Douglas Fir, 'Pink Jazz' was breathtaking and with an almost "awe shucks, toe-in-the-sand" embarrassment, hybridizer, Dick Bazett, was not able to hide the highly deserved pride he had for his "baby," any more than we could contain our joy and excitement. 6 Feet. July/August.

From Wisconsin: Hi Bob, You may just get an email from me every time this lily blooms for the rest of your life. Year one it was splendid, year two, well, it has more than doubled in the wow factor. It's one of those lilies that you think of possible crosses, using it as a pod parent, and you can't think of any way to come up with something better.

Yes indeed, this lily was worth every cent. I can't imagine you guys standing by the clump you have pictured on the website. It must have been awesome.

So what I am trying to say is thank you. Thank you for getting through to me a couple of years ago when I asked about this lily. Between you and Dick (Bazett), you both convinced me to give it a try. There is nothing like it.

Bulb Size - Our standard for bulbs of this lily cultivar ranges from Premium-size» (16/18 cm) to Exhibition-size» (over 20 cm). Click here for details.
