'L. distichum' (Lilium)
Lily Bulb Description
Difficult to cultivate, Lilium distichum is a native of Manchuria and Korea being found in forests on gently sloping hills. It closely resembles Lilium medeoloides and is often confused with it. Not a heavy bloomer, the out-to-slightly pendant flowers are orange-red in color with dark spotting and are held aloft on 2 to 3 foot stems. Being a woodland species, it likes moisture and shade.
